Kevin Macdonald's first feature, One Day In September, won an Oscar for Best Documentary in 2000. His second feature, Touching The Void, premiered at Telluride 2003, won the BAFTA for Best British Film, and is the highest-grossing British documentary in UK box office history. His first feature-length drama, The Last King Of Scotland, earned an Academy Award for Forest Whitaker. Macdonald’s latest drama is The Eagle; his recent user-generated documentary project, Life In A Day, premiered at Sundance 2011 to critical acclaim. Macdonald is the author of Emeric Pressburger: The Life And Death Of A Screenwriter, which won the BFI film Book of the Year in 1994.
