Marvin Odum is president of Shell Oil Company and director of Royal Dutch Shell. As a member of Shell’s executive committee, he oversees company-wide upstream business operations for North and South America. He began his Shell career as an engineer in 1982, and has since served in a number of management positions of increasing responsibility in both technical and commercial aspects of energy. He holds positions of board leadership and participation in the Business Roundtable, Council of the Americas, U.S. Climate Action Partnership and the American Petroleum Institute. In addition, he serves as a commissioner of the National Commission on Energy Policy and as a trustee of the National Urban League.
