J. Charles Fox

Senior Advisor to the Administrator, US Environmental Protection Agency

J. Charles (Chuck) Fox is a senior advisor to the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, focused on the Chesapeake Bay and Anacostia River.  Before joining the EPA in March 2009, he served as a senior officer with The Pew Charitable Trusts, managing its international marine conservation programs. He also served as the secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the assistant administrator for water at EPA. He has worked for a number of nonprofit environmental organizations including the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Friends of the Earth, American Rivers and the Environmental Policy Institute.  He is the former chairman of the board of the Maryland League of Conservation Voters and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
