Mary C. Pearl is dean and administrative vice president for the Stony Brook University's Southampton campus, a residential college focused on environmental sustainability. Previously, she served as president of Wildlife Trust between 1994 and 2009, where she led the effort to build it into a global organization dedicated to innovative conservation science, linking ecology and health and building careers of local scientists and educators in 20 high-biodiversity countries in North America, Asia, Africa and Latin America. She is also co-founder of the Center for Conservation Medicine, as well as co-founder of the Center for Environmental Research and Conservation at Columbia University.
