Pat Mulroy oversees the operations of the Las Vegas Valley Water District and the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), which serves local agencies that collectively support more than 2 million residents. She assumed the role of general manager of the Water District in 1989 and was a principal architect of the Water Authority, which has served as a model for other Western water agencies since its creation in 1991. The SNWA administers numerous water conservation initiatives, including an incentive program that has induced the replacement of 136 million square feet of grass with water-efficient landscaping. A long-time Southern Nevada resident, Mulroy previously served as special assistant to the Clark County Manager and as Clark County Justice Court Administrator.
