Patrick Moore is chairman and chief scientist of Greenspirit Strategies Ltd., a consultancy focusing on environmental policy and communications in forestry, agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture, mining, biodiversity, chemicals, energy, and climate change. A longtime leader in the international environmental field, he cofounded Greenpeace and was president of Greenpeace Canada and a director of Greenpeace International. He was a member of British Columbia’s Round Table on the Environment and Economy, and he founded and chaired the BC Carbon Project on climate change. He served as vice president for the environment for Waterfurnace International and is now a director of NextEnergy Solutions, Canada’s largest distributor of geothermal systems. He has also worked on sustainable forestry issues and is the host of “Green Spirit: Trees Are the Answer,” a video on how forests can help to solve environmental problems.
