Roland Stulz is executive director of Novatlantis, a program of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich to foster sustainable development in urban areas, and project director of the 2000-Watt Society initiative, a program that translates cutting-edge research into smart applications to reduce personal energy consumption. He is also senior partner of Amstein+Walthert AG, a building technologies company with 10 offices in Switzerland. A university lecturer, he also serves on many boards and committees, including Sustainability Forum Zurich, the Center of Competence for Energy and Mobility, and the Energy Center at.Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne. He has has done planning and consulting work on sustainable building construction in Europe, the US, Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
