Zhao Xingshu has been a researcher at Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences since 2005, as well as a member of China’s Research Center for Sustainable Development since 2002. Her research interests cover energy and development, climate policy, and economics of the environment and natural resources. Her recent research projects focus on climate security and its implications for China, US climate and energy policy, and municipal Solid waste treatment issues. Dr. Xingshu is the author of 30 papers and articles in academic journals, books, magazines, and newspapers, including Changes in American Climate Policy: From the Perspective of Political Economics (Journal of Contemporary Aisa-Pacific Studies, 2008), CDM Potential for Rural Transition in China: Case Study (Energy Policy, 2006), and Climate Change Realities Hitting G8 and China (China Daily, 2007).
