Jayni Chase is founder of the Center for Environmental Education, created in 1988 to provide K-12 teachers and students with the materials necessary to build environmental education programs and lessons in their schools. Based at Unity College in Unity, Maine, the center has grown into one of the strongest online resources for educators worldwide. She has served on numerous boards, including a two-year term chairing the board of directors of Friends of the Earth, and she is one of former Vice President Al Gore’s slide show presenters for An Inconvenient Truth. She participated in the Clinton Global Initiative in September 2007 and, along with Earth Day Network (EDN), is launching an ambitious new initiative, GREEN reModel. She joined the board of directors of EDN in February.
