Susan Joy Hassol is the director of Climate Communication, LLC. A climate change communicator, author, and analyst for two decades who is known for her ability to translate science into English and make complex issues accessible to policymakers and the public, she is the author of Impacts of a Warming Arctic, the synthesis report of the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment. She has also served as author and editor of many other national and international climate change assessments and has testified before the US Senate and written an HBO documentary on global warming. In 2006, she received the Climate Institute’s first award for excellence in climate science communication.
