Jessy Tolkan is executive director of the Energy Action Coalition, a group of 50 US and Canadian youth organizations that leverages the power of young people to organize for a  clean energy future. Previously, she worked as a state director for the New Voters Project, registering tens of thousands of young voters and increasing youth turnout rates. She also helped to plan Power Shift 2007, a national youth gathering on global warming. Most recently, she spearheaded Power Vote, a campaign to mobilize one million young voters across on the country on climate and energy issues. She has worked with such leading advocacy and grassroots organizations as the United States Student Association, Young Democrats of America, and Grassroots Campaigns Inc.
