Gary Hart

US Senator (Ret.)

Gary Hart is a Scholar in Residence at the University of Colorado and a Distinguished Fellow at the New America Foundation. He also chairs the Council for a Livable World and the American Security Project. Since retiring from the US Senate, he has been involved in international law and business as a strategic advisor to major US corporations and as a teacher, author, and lecturer. He cochaired the US Commission on National Security for the 21st Century and for 15 years was senior counsel to Coudert Brothers. He also served as president of Global Green. A founding member of the board of directors of the US-Russia Investment Fund, he is currently a member of the National Academy of Sciences task force on science and security.
