Barbara Bramble

Barbara Bramble is the National Wildlife Federation’s senior advisor for international affairs. She founded its international department, where she initiated global citizens campaigns to reform the environmental and social policies of the World Bank. A key organizer of the Rio Earth Summit in 1992, she is the immediate past chair of the board of the Forest Stewardship Council of the US. She also chairs the board of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels and serves on the boards of several other nonprofits in Brazil and the US. Previously, she was a legal advisor to the White House Council on Environmental Quality and an environmental lawyer in private practice.
