Jeffrey Leonard is CEO and cofounder of Global Environment Fund, a large private equity firm dedicated exclusively to investments in energy, the environment, and related sectors. He chairs the investment committees for the firm’s emerging markets funds and also serves on the board of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association and cochairs the advisory board of the Clean Technology Venture Network. He has worked in Africa, Asia and Latin America on economics, finance, and natural resource use and was a founder and director of Global Forest Products Ltd. He currently serves on the advisory board of the US-Brazil Biofuels Partnership, and he is the author of five books and many articles on global environment issues, energy production, international trade, and technology development.
