Chuck Kutscher

Principal Engineer and Manager, Thermal Systems Group, National Energy Laboratory

Chuck Kutscher is a principal engineer and manager of the thermal systems group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, where he currently leads the research on parabolic trough solar collector systems. He is a past chairman of the American Solar Energy Society and was general chair of the SOLAR 2006 national solar energy conference that led to the report “Tackling Climate Change in the US.” He is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he developed and teaches a course on climate change solutions, and he writes a regular column about climate change for Solar Today magazine.
