Andrew Revkin

Environmental Reporter, The New York Times

Andrew Revkin is a reporter for the New York Times, where he covers environmental issues in their social and political context and subjects ranging from the assault on the Amazon to climate change at the North Pole. His books include The Burning Season, a chronicle of the life of rain forest activist Chico Mendes, and Global Warming: Understanding the Forecast, the companion volume to the first museum exhibition on climate change. Previously, he was a senior editor of Discover, a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times, and a senior writer at Science Digest. He has also written for many magazines, and he lectures frequently on writing and the environment.
