Daniel Nocera is the Henry Dreyfus Professor of Energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A leading researcher in renewable energy at the molecular level, he studies the basic mechanisms of energy conversion in biology and chemistry focusing on the photogeneration of hydrogen and oxygen from water. He is a frequent lecturer and guest on science television programs and is widely recognized for his contributions to the development of renewable energy. He is currently working with actors, artists, producers, and major business leaders in the US and abroad to develop positions contributing positively to energy and sustainability challenges.
