Dawn M. Martin is president of SeaWeb, a strategic communications nonprofit organization that uses social marketing techniques to advance ocean conservation. She has more than 25 years experience in the communications, policy and conservation field, having served as chief operating officer for Oceana and political director for American Oceans Campaign where she chaired the Clean Water Network and authored “Estuaries on the Edge: The Vital Link Between Land and Sea”. During the Clinton/Gore Administration she was appointed associate deputy administrator to the Environmental Protection Agency. She is a founding member and serves on the steering committee for the Global Forum on Ocean, Coasts and Islands.
