Edward O. Wilson is professor and curator of entomology at the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University. A scholar, naturalist, and environmental activist, his fields include animal behavior, evolutionary psychology, island biogeography, biodiversity, environmental ethics, and the philosophy of knowledge. His books The Ants, written with Bert Hölldobler, and On Human Nature won Pulitzer Prizes. Other titles include Biophilia, The Diversity of Life, Consilience: The Unity of Knowledge, The Future of Life, and, most recently, The Creation: An Appeal to Save Life on Earth.
