Auden Schendler is executive director of community and environmental responsibility for the Aspen Skiing Company, overseeing its environmental efforts, corporate contributions, and civic engagement. He also serves as executive director of the Environment Foundation and director of Aspen Sustainability Associates, a green business consulting practice. Previously, he worked as a research associate in corporate sustainability at the Rocky Mountain Institute, a residential energy auditor, high-school math and English teacher, Outward Bound instructor, emergency medical technician, planning and zoning commissioner, and energy efficiency researcher. He currently serves on the steering committee of the Rocky Mountain Climate Organization and speaks and writes on sustainable business issues.
