Jim Rogers is chairman of the board, president, and chief executive officer of Duke Energy, one of the largest electric power companies in the United States. He has more than 19 years of experience as a chief executive officer in the electric utility industry and also served as executive vice president of interstate pipelines for the Enron Gas Pipeline Group. Before joining Enron, he was a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld and deputy general counsel for litigation and enforcement for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. A co-chair of the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency and the Alliance to Save Energy, he also serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
