Michael Totten is senior director of climate, water, and ecosystem services at Conservation International’s Center for Environmental Leadership in Business. He has spent nearly three decades promoting ecologically sustainable economic development at the local, national, and international levels. Previously, he served as co-director of the World Resources Institute's management institute for environment and business. He also co-founded and served as executive director of the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology, one of the largest Internet sites on sustainable development. Prior to that, he was senior director for information and training programs at the International Institute for Energy Conservation.
