Peter Liu is the founder and vice chairman of New Resource Bank, an innovative community bank in San Francisco that focuses on financing sustainable and efficient resources.  Founded together with leading entrepreneurs, New Resource Bank is one of the fastest growing new banks in California.  Peter serves on the Clean Technology Investment Advisory Boards of the California Public Employees Retirement System and the California Teachers’ Retirement System and is a member of the San Francisco’s Mayor’s Green Building Task Force.  He co-founded and is the vice chair of the China US Energy Efficiency Alliance.  As an energy sector banker, he previously completed over $6 billion in energy project financing.  Before his career in finance, he was an engineer for Chevron and the California Air Resources Board.  Peter studied Chemical Engineering & Materials Science at UC Berkeley and Public Policy at Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School.
