Andrew Light

Associate Professor, University of Washington

Andrew Light is associate professor of philosophy and public affairs and adjunct professor of geography and public health genetics at the University of Washington at Seattle. He is also a research fellow at Lancaster University’s Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy, a faculty fellow at the Center for Sustainable Development at the University of Texas at Austin, and an affiliate faculty member of Bard College’s Center for Environmental Policy. His primary areas of interest are environmental ethics and policy, philosophy of technology, moral and political philosophy, and aesthetics. He is the author and editor of many books and articles on environmental ethics and philosophy, including Moral and Political Reasoning in Environmental Practice, Environment and Values, and Restoring the Culture of Nature. His future research will focuse on urban environmental issues.
