Amy Coen is the president and CEO of Population Action International and a director of InterAction. Previously, she served for 13 years as president and CEO of Planned Parenthood in the Chicago area and as part of Planned Parenthood’s national leadership team in the 1980s. She was also a founder and the first director of Women's Network, dedicated to finding employment and education opportunities for homeless women, and a founder of the Women's Crisis Center, an organization that supported rape victims through counseling and provided women with access to safe abortions before they were legal in the U.S. She has served on many nonprofit boards and official U.S. delegations.
