Megan Guy

Founding Member, Environmental Strategy Group, Goldman Sachs

Megan is a founding member of the Environmental Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs, which oversees the implementation of the firm’s environmental policy and develops and coordinates its environmental business initiatives.   In this capacity, she also helps to manage the Center for Environmental Markets, which partners with nongovernmental organizations to examine market-based solutions to environmental challenges.  Megan joined Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division in 2003 in New York as a part of the Natural Resources Group.  She advised companies in the power, energy and private equity sectors on mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate finance transactions.  Most recently, she was Associate Director at Goldman Sachs JBWere’s Sydney, Australia office in the Investment Banking Division.  She returned to New York to join the newly established Environmental Strategy Group in 2006, where her responsibilities include advising clients and transaction teams on environmental risks and opportunities and developing Goldman Sachs’ own environmental business activities.  Megan holds an A.B. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College.
