Bill McKibben

Founder, 350.org

Last year the Boston Globe said Bill McKibben was "probably America's most important environmentalist" and Time called him "the planet's best green journalist." Schumann Distinguished Scholar at Middlebury College in Vermont, he is the author of a dozen books on the environment, the first of which--The End of Nature--was also the first book for a general audience on global warming. He is the founder of the global climate campaign 350.org, which has coordinated what CNN called "the most widespread day of political action in the planet's history."
