Andrew Revkin

Senior Fellow, Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies, Pace University

Andrew C. Revkin is one of the country's most respected and influential communicators focused on climate change and other global environmental issues. Building on a quarter century of prize-winning print work, he now writes the "Dot Earth" blog for The New York Times. He has reported on the science and politics of global warming for more than two decades, from the North Pole to the White House and the tumultuous treaty talks in Copenhagen. After 15 years on staff at the Times, Revkin recently left to become the Senior Fellow for Environmental Understanding at Pace University's Academy for Applied Environmental Studies. He is the author of three books on environmental subjects, incliuding one for young adults, "The North Pole Was Here: Puzzles and Perils at the Top of the World" (Kingfisher, 2006). Revkin has received journalism awards from numerous organizations, including the National Academies of Science, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and Columbia University and has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Pace and a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship.
